Pepes Ikan

Pepes IkanBahan   :  (  Ingredients  : )
1     ekor  ikan , dibersihkan  (  fish , cleaned )
8    buah cabe rawit   ( red chillies )
1     tomat , iris- iris  (  tomato, sliced )
4    lembar daun jeruk purut  ( kaffir lime leaves )
2    batang sereh bagian putihnya ( lemon grass the white part )
2    lembar  daun pisang ( banana leaves )
10 lembar daun kemangi, jika ada ( basil , if you have )
tusuk gigi  ( toothpicks)

Bumbu dihaluskan  : ( Ingredients to paste : )
6     bawang merah  ( shallots )
2     bawang putih   ( garlic )
5    kemiri  ( candlenut )
1     cm kunyit  (  tumeric )
1     tsp  garam  (  salt )

Cara membuat :  ( Method : )
1.   Ikan diberi bumbu yang dihaluskan  ( rub the fish with pasted ingredients )
2.   Letakan didaun pisang  ikan, cabe rawit, tomat, daun jeruk, sereh, daun kemangi ( place  fish, red chillies, tomato, lemon grass, lime leaves on the banana leaves  )
3.   Bungkus ikannya dan dikedua ujung daun disemat dengan tusuk gigi ( wrap up the fish and secure at the  both ends of the banana leaves with toothpicks )
4.    Bakar ikan dioven yang telah dipanaskan  200 derajat C selama 30 menit atau sampai matang (bake in the preheated oven 200 deg C  for 30 minutes  or until the fish is cook )
